We arrived in Guangzhou 12 hours in advance of the baby receiving process. Lily is great and so healthy and huge and heavy and just perfect. She has so much hair. We've had her now for 2 4 hours.
Lexi got one giggle out of her on the first night. Her first night she slept straight from 8:30 - 6:00! Not a peep.
Sometime she is getting a little stressed but she just gets quiet. We've had a few smiles.
We are all settling into her nicely and her to us.
She walks really well and eats anything we've feed her. Today she had rice cereal and applesauce and bottles.
That's it for now.
Life is good in China and Lily is fantastic. All the babies are!

Whew!! If only you knew how long I have been pacing the floors (since Monday!!) in anticipation of this post! Great to hear that all is good. We can't wait to meet her when you return. Appreciating your flurries of emotions, sleepless nights, hectic / stressful days, tours, shopping sprees, etc., etc., no need to email me back. Just drop me an email when you have safely returned and we'll get a play date set up. Can't wait! My kitchen floors (and my husband) thanks you for the post....I can stop pacing now and stop asking "I wonder what the heck is taking so long?!" :)

I congratulate you all on your good fortune and perseverance. The California Strells are extremely happy for you and can't wait to see Lily. She sounds wonderful. I kept checking your blogsite for info and hit the jackpot just now. Good walker, good sleeper, good eater. Looks like you're off to a fine start. Good going Alexis - gettin that first giggle from Lily. Enjoy China and have a great sucessful trip to Bejing and back to Canada.
